This one of those times when I HATE extreme sports…
Snowmobiler Caleb Moore died this morning of injuries sustained during competition last Thursday at the 2013 Winter X Games in Aspen; he was just 25 years old.
Moore, along with younger brother Colten, have been crowd favorites in the competition, winning several medals between them over the past several years. Colten was also injured last Thursday in a separate competition; he was treated for a separated pelvis later in the evening.
Both brothers have embodied the spirit of extreme sports for many many years, and the loss of Caleb at so young an age will no doubt affect extreme sports, and its fans, for years to come…
Caleb – thanks for all the fun thrills and excitement you brought to so many millions of people during your short quarter century on Earth – you will truly be missed…
