IFS’ Larry Richman was PNR’s “man on the scene” in Park City for the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals this year as always, and managed to nab 2011 #1 Male Rising Star Alex Shaffer for a sitdown interview. Alex, who was #1 in 2011 due to his outstanding debut performance in “Win Win“, was at Sundance to promote his latest film, “The Lifeguard”, in which he co-stars with Kristen Bell; it will likely hit theatres later this year. The interview is even more special at the beginning because Larry opened the interview by surprising the 19-year-old actor with his 2011 Rising Stars certificate…and Alex’ reaction to the news is absolutely priceless..thanks Alex – good luck with “The Lifeguard”, and thank you Larry for all your hard work for us (and fellow websites FilmSnobbery.Com and others) at this year’s festival!
