RUMOR MILL: Can JGL take on the Bat mantle?

Rumors have been flying this morning after Hitfix posted a story that insiders at Warner Bros.  have “confirmed” that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will “definitely” be on board the new Justice League movie in the Batsuit.

Given the end of The Dark Knight Rises, this makes sense. A lot of fanboys have been going off about how Batman can NEVER be anyone but Bruce Wayne, but the Nolan-verse disputes that theory. In fact, as Kim pointed out to me, in TDKR they went out of their way to state that there always has to be a Batman, and that who is in the suit doesn’ t matter.

Personally, i’d rather see John Robin Blake morph into Nightwing over Bats, but whatever Nolan approves of – and make no doubt he WILL have approved of it, regardless of what he says or does to disuade people – will no doubt work. Personally, I can get behind it.

What do you think about JGL inheriting the Bat-mantle for Justice League? Let the comments commence…
