Sorry I didn’t get this up sooner, but as they say, it happens..
I will discuss the Spirit Award nominations in depth over the next couple of days, but let me just say up front I’m bitterly disappointed in the nominees for the second year in a row. The Spirits seem to not be what they used to be when it came to independent flicks, and while MOST of the films qualify (I would debate that once again, one or two of them are over the $20 Mil budget limit), the choices made, especially in the acting categories and who is in what category, sometimes just don’t make sense. But i’ll get into that over the next couple of days…
